Mario Moreno:
Well, but that’s another Anthropology, the one of the dollar.
Newspaper (“Diario de Mexico”):
Anthropology of the dollar... (Laughs ... )
Newspaper:
Mr. Mario Moreno, for the “Diario de Mexico”. It was said in the Congress that you are a person that teaches through the laugh and through the philosophy of entertaining people, what is your opinion in relation to those words?
Mario Moreno:
I think that such a concept is true and real. It is not only real, but it also has been my purpose. I acquire my self-realization on TV., by always delivering a message. Always, I think that the purpose of an actor, in his profession, is to fulfill a duty, and that duty is to use the screen for something constructive. My films always have delivered a message, always, usually a human message, and I will continue to do so.
Newspaper:
In which way do you take part in the Gnostic Anthropology?
Mario Moreno:
Well, first of all by taking part in this Congress, and by greeting all the members and all the people that have been present in this wonderful Congress...
Newspaper:
Mr. Mario Moreno, I want to ask you a question: Your humour has changed very much in your latest films... Do you think that it is due to your higher level of maturity?
Mario Moreno:
Well, I do not think so... It happens that the world is changing, and we have to walk with the world. I mean that my humour will never change, but the humour of the world is changing; and we have to go with the times.
Newspaper:
Mr. Mario: I think you have a great knowledge, because your latest films have been very revolutionary, they denounce the crisis that nowadays is suffering this humanity, and you try to criticize with good humour, talking about the planet Earth in general, without focusing in a determined country. How have you got this depth of knowledge in this matter, and why are you doing this?
Mario Moreno:
Well, firstly, because I believe that my line of work..., In my line of work, what I have always done is a duty; and I do it because I am in the reality of the world in which we are living, and although my line of work is the humour, and it will keep on being the humour, I have to express constructive criticisms of many things of this world. That’s the reason why you have noticed that change in my latest films, in which I make and criticize some things with a sense of humour, and as the Master said, I think that I always speak trying to make people laugh. That’s the answer to your question, I think.
Newspaper: Sir, apart from this organization of Gnostic Anthropology, are you in sympathy with other similar philosophical organizations?
Mario Moreno:
I feel respect, affection, and I am in sympathy with any organization, group, or association that feels concern for the human being, for the fellow being. I think that if there were a lot of groups and congresses like this one, we could think that a better world for us and for our children is possible.
Newspaper: Mr. Mario, you have given joy to humanity;what do you ask in exchange?
Mario Moreno:
I do not ask anything else than what humanity has given me, that is to say, the affection and love that I have received from people; and I would like to give still more, because I wish I can die giving and not asking.
Newspaper: What is your opinion about the crisis in Mexico, with the dollar and with... the...World Market?A constructive criticism, as you have always done.
Mario Moreno:
That's another matter, brother. The world is undergoing very especial situations, and on other occasion we’ll talk about the dollar and its by-products. [Laughs].
Newspaper: Dear journalists, now I want to ask Master Samael Aun Weor what has been the reason why he has invited Mr. Mario Moreno as a main character of this International Congress.
Master Samael:
Well, the main reason why we have invited this notable “apostle of humanity” is, precisely, our psychological and spiritual affinity him. Indeed, Mr. Mario has worked hard for all the human beings, regardless of race, sex, social class or colour. He has taught in a didactical way. If you pay attention to the psychological aspect of his works, you will realize that he possesses a deep humanism and a great capacity to penetrate in the different levels of the human mind. Due to all this, his presence is a source of happiness for all of us.
Newspaper: Do you think that the participation of Mr. Mario is a way to bring the Gnostic Association near to the people? You have said that his work has been quite didactic, so, how can be carried out this approach?
Master Samael:
The most powerful thing is the force of love. If one understands the works of this notable apostle, if one meditates on them, undoubtedly, one will feel inside him that which is called “love”, and only love can close people one another.
Newspaper: Master, has the Association, that so respectably you are presiding over, done some anthropological research which has not been disclosed up to now in Mexico or in the world?
Master Samael:
Certainly, in the name of the truth, we can say that our Association has penetrated into the intimate meaning of a lot of codices, pyramids, archaeological pieces and prehistory in general; we have studied “what is incognito”, so to speak, what people do not know, what is hidden in the heart of the ancient peoples.
Newspaper: It has been said that there is a vertex or a triangle with much esoteric significance. One point, one vertex, is in Egypt, another in Mexico and another in Peru. Have you studied about that?
Master Samael:
Certainly, I have to tell you that the Bermuda Triangle, and the two others that you have mentioned, really contain mysteries that the present science do not know.
We do not deny the “Fourth Vertical”; neither the wise Einstein denied it, and he mathematically demonstrated it in his “Theory of Relativity”. Unquestionably, there are vortices in the Euclidean Three-Dimensional world whose foundations are in the fourth coordinate.
Newspaper: Venerable Master, you have in your hands one of the most revolutionary magazines that we have seen in this Congress. It is titled “Gnosis” (Psychological Rebelliousness, Transcendental Sexology and Philosophy);and we see in the first page that the Aztec Calendar is one of the most traditional aspects of the Mexican Republic. What can you tell to the local press about this?
Master Samael:
The Aztec Calendar shown in this marvellous magazine is really very interesting. Obviously, there is much tradition there. These quadrants, for example, have an extraordinary importance: The ancient traditions say that “the Children of the First Sun were devoured by the Tigers”; we should not understand this in a merely literal way; it means, in an emphatic way, that they were absorbed by Wisdom. The Aztec Calendar also says in a symbolic way that “the Children of the Second Sun were destroyed by strong hurricanes”; it refers to Second Race. If the first one was devoured by the Tigers (that is to say, by the Wisdom), the second one, unquestionably, was destroyed by strong hurricanes. The Aztec Calendar also states that “the Children of the Third Sun perished by the Sun of “Rain of Fire” and by strong earthquakes”; this refers to the Continent of Lemuria. Such a continent existed many millions years ago in the Pacific Ocean; Oceania, Australia and the nearby Islands are the remains of that Continent. Unquestionably, the Children of the Third Sun perished really (as the tradition says through the Calendar) due to the Sun of “Rain of Fire” and strong earthquakes, that is to say, due to a lot of volcanoes in eruption.
In regards to the Children of Fourth Sun (represented by the Fourth Quadrant of the Aztec Calendar), we know very well that they were covered by the waters, and they died by drowning.
The legends say that “the Children of the Fourth Sun converted themselves into fishes”. This is a reference to the Great Universal Flood; sure enough, there was a shift in the Earth’s axes –which was really terrible–, and the Children of the Fourth Sun, the Atlantean and their powerful civilization, were covered by waters. The Poles became Equator, and the Equator converted into Poles.
Regarding the Children of the Fifth Sun, obviously “we will perish by fire and earthquakes”; this was said by the Aztecs. The Calendar, in general, is a wonderful Stone based in the number 13; it is a Cosmic Stone. We should not study it superficially. The study of that Stone requires many years of efforts, and besides, one needs to be a great mathematician.
Newspaper: Master, when does the Aztec Calendar predict the end of the world?
Master Samael:
The Aztec Calendar tells us that “the Children of the Fifth Sun will perish by fire and earthquakes; all of us, the inhabitants of the Earth (the “Aryan”, as we are called), we will perish by fire and earthquakes. It is written so by the Nahuatls; I hope you reflect deeply on this.
Newspaper: Sir, I want to know a little bit about the origin of these studies, or this Society of Gnostic Anthropology, and how you became its Master..., or its President.
Master Samael:
Right! Certainly, our yearnings were definitive. Some of us studied the archeological pieces; we researched a lot of codices deeply; we analyzed the Wisdom of ancient civilizations; we made comparative studies among Mexico, Egypt, India, Tibet, Greece etc., etc.; and little by little, thanks to the knowledge of the Ancient Wisdom, we could decipher codices and old manuscripts. Thus my longing was enough to get together with some friends, and we started the study. Soon we established an organization, we got our Legal Status and we dedicated ourselves to the research.
We have shared this knowledge, from Mexico, with all the brethren of Central America, South America, etc., etc., etc. Our teachings are arriving to everywhere. We are directing this current from Mexico; all of us are Mexican.
Newspaper: Are you in contact with the Traditional Schools of the East?Have the studies of those schools served you, to this philosophy?
Master Samael:
We have investigated in the Chinese sources, in the Sanskrit works of India, in the old Tibetan manuscripts, etc., etc., etc., and we have reached the conclusion that the universal wisdom is always the same; only several aspects change, according to the peoples, nations and languages.
Newspaper: Sir, in your opinion, what is the greatest contribution to the world made by the Aztec civilization?
Master Samael:
Well, I think that the greatest contribution to humanity made by the Nahuatl or Aztec civilization was the “Wisdom of the Serpent”. Because well know very well that the culture of our forefathers of Anahuac was eminently serpentine.
Unfortunately, the Wisdom of the Serpent is not known by the people of this time, but we are divulging it; we have extracted it from the ancient codices.
Newspaper: In your opinion, what’s the reason why this current has bloomed here in America with more strength? Master Samael:
Because, obviously, in America there are more spiritual longings than in Europe, for example. Here, there are some “incognito longings”. I think that, precisely, due to our Mexican origin, or Inca, etc., well, we still keep in our veins that “intimism”, so to speak, of the Archaic Philosophy; we feel yearns for knowing something; we are more interested in the things of the Spirit than in the merely physical or material questions.
Newspaper: On the other hand, what method do you think it is necessary to follow in order to get the change from the Man-Machine into the Integral-Man, so to speak?
Master Samael:
Well, we have a complete Philosophy, we have Science, we have Mysticism and we also have Art, which can guide the human minds toward the Radical Transformation. So, the important thing would be to study all our wisdom, then, humanity would get a benefit.
Newspaper: What can you tell us about the loot of several archeological pieces that mark the anthropology of the Nahuatl of our great land?
Master Samael:
Well, undoubtedly, in the beginning, many people that came from other countries had no qualms about doing such loots. Fortunately, our Mexican Government has already solved this matter; we have also recovered some wonderful pieces that were in foreign territories. Newspaper: I think it has been said that..., better, it has not been said, but it is true that the Nahuatl Science was more advanced even than the Greek, than the people from Peru, and more than the Mayans. What can you tell in advance about the prophecies of the Nahuatls concerning the future of the world?
Master Samael:
It is true that the Science of the Nahuatls, from the psychological point of view, has an extraordinary knowledge that can be compared to the Greek Culture and to the wisdom of Egypt, India and Persia. In no way our culture is less than the one of other peoples, nations and languages; however, we are not going to give ourselves airs, in the sense of believing that we are the last word.
Newspaper: Sir, what does the Gnostic Movement think about the great Prophets of humanity:Muhammad, Confucius, etc.?
Master Samael:
We always have thought that there is a kind of religiousness of cosmic type, so to speak, which assumes different forms or shapes according to the times and places. In the name of the truth, we always have thought that the ancient religions contained within their sacred writings a sort of “Sapience” that is unknown for the people of theses times...
We are absolutely sure that among the verses of the “Koran”, or the “Bhagavad Gita”, or the “Chilam Balam” of Chumayel, or the Egyptian “Book of the Dead”, etc., are always hidden the same cosmic truths of the Universal Religion, or Cosmic Religion, in general.
Newspaper: What about the Learned Elders of Zion?
Master Samael:
I do not want to speak about questions related with the “Learned Elders of Zion” or something like that. But I definitely think that all peoples have traditions full of wisdom, science, mysticism and art.
Newspaper: Just one question. You mentioned a little while ago, or you answered a question about: “When could the planet finish, that is to say, the end of the Planet Earth?”In the Nahuatl language they predict it in the Year-Light, or the Year-Rabbit, or in which year will it be the end... ... of the Planet Earth?
Master Samael:
All ancient religions speak about “great catastrophes” that are going to happen. There is no doubt that in the past there were dreadful geological cataclysms (this is not ignored by the science). We think that in the future several dreadful catastrophes can happen, which will originate deep geological transformations all over the geological structure of our world.
We have not intended to speak about any date, because I think that this would belong to the transfinite mathematics, which are beyond our intellectual capacity.
Newspaper: ... (sound faded out)... In the Nahuatl language, in the year 2001.
Master Samael:
Well, the 2001, not only in the Nahuatl language, but in the Egypt of Pharaohs as well. If we investigated the Great Pyramid carefully, we would see that it keeps “silent”, precisely, in the year 2001. This has made a lot of anthropologists believe that may be the Final Catastrophe will come before the year 2001. However, we are not thinking in an “end of the world” in the Medieval style; we think seriously that it refers to geological transformations.
Undoubtedly, the geological transformations are demonstrated; Geology has done deep research in this field.
Newspaper: Sir, as for me, a last question: Before the present crisis of human values, what does the Gnostic Movement recommend to humanity, above all?
Master Samael:
Before the present crisis of human values, our Gnostic Association for Anthropological and Cultural Studies recommends the dissolution of the animal Ego. It is necessary to explore ourselves psychologically in order to know ourselves. Only by dissolving the Ego, humanity will be able to live fraternally.
Newspaper: Then, does that imply a communal life?
Master Samael:
The communal life would be impossible if we did not dissolve the Ego. We needed to explore ourselves in order to know ourselves. Only by knowing ourselves in depth, and in all the territories of the mind, we will be able to eliminate our psychological defects; these defects constitute the Ego; as far as we continue with our psychological defects, that is to say, as far as the “I” of the “Experimental Psychology” continues to exist inside us, the peaceful coexistence will be something impossible.
Newspaper: Sir, does the Gnostic Movement follow the theory of “a humanity without frontiers”? Master Samael: ”Every theory is grey, and it is only the tree of golden fruits that is green; and this is really life”. This was said by Goethe, the great philosopher and dramaturgist. Obviously, we can draw nice plans about a world without frontiers, about a terrestrial Eden; however, if we continue as we are now, if we do not remove from our nature the psychological factors that produce wars in the world, the psychological factors that produce discord, the psychological factors that produce hate, etc., then, the world will go from bad to worse.
